IV Eurasian Congress of Orthopaedic Trauma “Actual problems of traumatology and orthopedics” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Bishkek Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics and to the 50th anniversary of S.A. Dzhumabekov, the academician, took place on 27-30 of August, 2014 in Kyrgyzstan, on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Prominent specialists of Russia (S.P. Mironov, the academician of RAMS, the head traumatologist of Russia, N.V. Zagorodniy, the professor, member of Russian Traumatology Society, A.N. Petrov, V.A. Porhanov and many others), of Ukraine (N.A Korzh, the director of Ukrainian Vertebrologic and Orthopedic National Research Institute), of Kazakstan (N.G. Batpenov, the director of Kazakhstan NIITO, the head orthopaedic traumatologist of MoHRK), of Uzbekistan (M.G. Azizov, the head orthopaedic traumatologist of MoHRU), of Azerbaijan (V.G. Verdiev, MD., the director of NRITO, the head orthopaedic traumatologist of MoH), Mahmud Doral, the president of Turkish Orthopaedic Society, as well as of Germany (Volker Atzrodt, the professor of orthopaedic clinic), as well as the representatives of China and Belarus have taken part at the congress.

The aim of the congress was to inform the sector about new information characterizing the actual aspects of traumatology diseases in metropolitan city, about contemporary prophylaxis methods of traumatology diseases treatment, as well as concerning the implementation of medical technologies in clinical practice.

As a part of the congress, the exposition of medical equipment, medicinal products and convalescent facilities manufactured by reputable companies worldwide took place.
